Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog!

One of the latest inventions that we have developed includes an indicator for hypnic myoclonus. Therefore, we thought it would be a great idea to share a little bit about the condition and how it develops and proceeds.

It often consists of hypnic jerks that occur during sleep that will occur for long periods of time. They are often extremely sudden. These can occur at any age and are often found in epileptic patients as well. Hypnic myoclonus can often be a result of insomnia or the development of other sleep disorders and conditions. Due to the correlations between the two, a diagnosing tool for hypnic myoclonus may also aid in the diagnosis of other sleep conditions.

The prototype that we have developed includes vibrational detection. The detections are based on a vibration sensor that is hooked up to a helmet. Using the data from the vibration sensor, different computations are taken into account to determine the vibrational levels of these jerks and the extent to which it occurs.

We had a public event to showcase our prototype earlier.

We hope to see you soon.
